Dr. Caraballo has many years of significant and continuing contribution to patient care, teaching and education and as an advocate for patients. He obtained a BA with honors in Biology from Union College and obtained his medical degree from the Instituto Tecnologico de Santo Domingo in his native land of the Dominican Republic.
He completed his Adult Psychiatry training at Stony Brook University Medical Center and his Child and Adolescent Psychiatry fellowship from the New York-Presbyterian Hospital of Columbia and Cornell Universities.
He has also completed the Advanced Adult Psychodynamic Pschotherapy Program and the Transference Focused Psychotherapy Program from the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research and Mentalization-Based Training throught the Anna Freud National Centre for Children and Families.
